Hello!

I’m Julia Karpinsky, a senior at the University of Alabama, majoring in Public Relations with a minor in Creative Media. With graduation approaching in May, I’m eager to bring my experience and creativity into a career in entertainment publicity and communications.

Throughout my time at Alabama, I’ve honed my skills in strategic communication, media relations, and digital storytelling. My work with the Institute for Communication and Information Research (ICIR) has allowed me to manage social media strategy, content development, and research promotion — merging creativity with data-driven results. I’ve also gained hands-on experience through multiple public relations and event-based internships, where I supported high-profile campaigns and learned the power of connecting stories to audiences that matter.

I’m passionate about collaboration, authenticity, and crafting narratives that leave an impression; whether that’s through creative visuals, brand storytelling, or meaningful media engagement. Originally from Minneapolis, I’ve always been drawn to the energy of big cities and the entertainment industry’s fast-paced nature. I’m excited to take the next step in my professional journey and continue growing as a communicator in the field of publicity.
